An afternoon at the watch repair shop

The shop is snazzy pink and purple.
As if in a rocking chair,
a grandfather clock,
swings in a corner ,
ignored.
Nostalgic ?

The repair guy meddles with tiny screws
does he look into the future ?
Is Made in China the monster
his kids fear ?

An old man totters around him
twenty mad clocks tick every second
his teeth chatter in perfect synchrony.

Minutes pass.
trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiinnggggg....
his 'Alaram' clock is now in good shape
and his afternoon has met purpose.

An afternoon finding its purpose. I can hear the lazy whirr of the ceiling fan. Lovely!

So invokes images of nostalgic lazy afternoons, more so on a sombre and calm rainy late afternoon here now. Nice one :) Liked the mood. And the 'alaram' clock :) a sense of nostalgic antiquity all through..
